Standings
The top team this week is Team Raiden. Team Raiden had an incredible week this week, going 3-1-0-0 and earning 184.7pts. They almost had a perfect 4 firsts, but they lost their 1st place in one game by being passed in S4-0. Hagiwara has really started to bring his A-game, finally getting out of last place in the individual standings. With this week’s extremely good results, they jump into the positives and leap their way into 3rd place in the standings.
The next best team this week is the Sega Sammy Phoenix. Sensing the urgency in the moment, the team has broken through at a very important time during a very important match-up against the Pirates. Placing 1st in both of those games and the Pirates placing 4th, they were able to surpass the Pirates and go up to 7th place.
3rd place in the performance rankings is the Shibuya Abemas. The team is not letting up, maintaining their top spot in the rankings and even increasing their lead. With all the members playing this week, it truly was a team effort. They are getting closer and closer to essentially clinching a playoff spot. This is their 4th week in a row with positive results.
4th in the performance rankings is the EX Furinkazan. A 1-0-1-2 record would normally be a negative result, but a big +96.0 from Katsumata greatly offset his two 4th places earlier in the week.
Going in the negative teams, we have the Akasaka Drivens placing 5th in this weeks performance rankings. Despite not placing 4th in any of their games, their 3rd places brought their score down. In the past 7 weeks, this is their 6th week of dropping.
Next in the rankings is Konami Mahjong Fight Club. This is almost déjà vu, as they also had a 0-3-0-1 results last week with a similar score. With Team Raiden’s great performance this week, the Konami Mahjong Fight Club drop down to 4th place. This is their 4th week in a row with negative results
7th in the rankings are the Kadokawa Sakura Knights. Their less than stellar 0-1-2-1 record this week caused them to fall down to 6th place in the overall standings. This is their second week in a row with negative results.
And finally, placing last in this week in the performance rankings, we have the U-Next Pirates. With Kobayashi getting his first 4th place and everyone else being generally unlucky, the Pirates got three last places and drop down to 8th place. This is the teams 5th week in a row going negative.
This Week’s M-League Stats
That’s it for this week! There are 8 more weeks to go. That means there are 64 games left in the season, 32 for each team. As the playoffs approach, it’s time for the teams to get in position and fight for a playoff spot. Can last year’s champions get out of last place and find a playoff spot? Can last year’s runner up get into qualifying position? Can any of the teams break the top 2? As always, we’ll just have to wait and see!
