Standings after Semifinals Game #6

First place in this quarter’s performance ranking is Team Raiden. Kurosawa came in clutch in the last few weeks of the regular season and does so again in the first games of the semifinals. In both the games she player, she was able to win the all-important South 4 hand to win the game. These wins helped the team add 58.3pts to their overall total and jump from 6th place to 4th place overall.

Tied for 2nd place in the performance ranking is the Akasaka Drivens. The underplayed Maruyama Kanako played for the team’s first game of the season and proved to the team why she should play more. She was able to win the first game with a score of 52,000 for +72.0 for the team. With some good 2nds from Taro and Sonoda, the team is make some ground on the top 2 teams.

The other team tied for 2nd in the performance rankings is the Konami Mahjong Fight Club. Again, the female of the team brought the points in the points, with Takamiya winning with a huge 78,000 point win to get +98.0 for the team. The team starts to get closer to the positives and currently maintains their position in 5th place.

Going into the negatives, we have the Kadokawa Sakura Knights placing 4th in the performance ranking. Besides the win from Hori, all the other team members struggled. Sawazaki in particular, who struggled in the regular season and continues to struggle now. The team dropped -26.7pts, but still maintain their 2nd place standing.

The Shibuya Abemas take 5th place in the performance rankings.Even though they had a 0-2-2-0 ranking, the big wins from the 1st place winners mean they incurred a large net negative. For the team, they still maintain their large lead against the rest of the pack. and need not worry.

Finally, placing last in the performance ranking is the EX Furinkazan. With the extreme pressure and risk of termination, the stress is real. Though Aki was able to come through, both Katsumata and Takizawa incurred losses. Takizawa was even a little teary-eyed during his interview. Luckily for them, it’s only the first quarter and there’s still time.
