M-League 2020 Semifinals: Games #7-12

Standings

Top in this quarter’s performance ranking is the Akasaka Drivens. The past 4 games were really big for the team, especially the suuankou and two big wins on April 20. They are the first team to have all four of their players to win in the semifinals this season. They are getting very close to rivaling the scores of both the Kadokawa Sakura Knights and Akasaka Drivens.

Coming in 2nd in the performance rankings is the Kadokawa Sakura Knights. Led by Hori and his East round runaway, the team gained quite a few points and got up to 1st place. Even Okada and Sawazaki, who didn’t do too well in the regular season, helped the team by getting 2nds.

Coming in 3rd is the EX Furinkazan. It wasn’t a very good quarter for the team, but avoiding 4th helped team just stay above water. They are currently sitting in 4th, but just barely. They can be cut some slack for their performance though, as Drivens rout was almost unavoidable.

Going into the negatives, the Shibuya Abemas take 4th spot in the performance rankings. Though in relation to the lower teams, the drop isn’t much. However, it is a significant drop for the team as they fall out of 1st place and yield the spot to the Sakura Knights. Being in all 4 of the games of the Akasaka Drivens, it’s difficult to say that it was completely their fault.

Team Raiden takes the 5th spot in the performance rankings. A big loss from Hagiwara and Kurosawa held the team back from advancing, even with a 1st and a 2nd from Setokuma. Their drop was cushioned a bit because…

The Konami Mahjong Fight Club came last in this quarter’s performance ranking. Memories of the 2019 season’s performance are brought back as the team could get a 1st in the past 4 games. Sasaki got 3rd twice and a loss from Fujisaki dropped the team lower. Even Takamiya’s 2nd place gave them a -0.5pts change. They drop down to 6th after the performance of the past 4 games.
