Standings
For the 2nd week in a row, the Akasaka Drivens take 1st spot in the performance rankings. With Murakami finally getting his first 1st of the season and the rest of the team getting top 2 finished, the team is finally making some ground on the competition. They gained +159.4 points and had a record of 2/2/00, lifting the team up to 4th place.
Coming in 2nd place is the EX Furinkazan. Can they be stopped!? The team has been on a roll, breaking the +400.0 barrier this week and increasing their lead over the rest of the field. Katsumata in particular has been killing the competition, winning his two games this week to extend his personal winning streak to 4 games.
In 3rd place is the Shibuya Abemas. Despite the team getting an even record of 1/1/1/1, they got a good gain of 27.4. Leading the way were Shiratori, who got a first, and Matsumoto, who got a 40,000+ 2nd place. With the results the team went into the positives and
Performing 4th best this week is the Kadokawa Sakura Knights. A 4th cancelled out by a 1st. A 2nd cancelled out by a better 2nd. Though it’s not much, points are points. Their record of 1/2/0/1 helped them get +4.2 points, still sitting in 5th place overall.
Going into the negatives we have the Konami Mahjong Fight Club next. Two 4ths by the team were remedied by a big 1st place by Date. Despite the 1/1/0/2 record and the 29.8 point loss, the team still sit solidly in 2nd spot overall.
In 6th place is the U-Next Pirates. Despite a good first half of the week, a very unlucky game by Asakura (dealing into 12,000 point hands while he was either riichi or tenpai) caused the team to get into a rut. With the 1/0/2/1 record and -88.2 score this week, they drop out of the positives and into 6th place.
Team Raiden was 7th place in the standings this week. After starting out the season well, they are continuing to struggle. Failing to get a 1st this week, the team drops further and further. Having a record of 0/1/2/1 this week and losing 98.4 points, the team drops down to and marks their 5th week in a row of losing points.
Sega Sammy Phoenix. Another struggling team, another bad week. A record of 0/1/1/2 and losing 106.4 points, this is the team’s 2nd week in a row taking 8th in the performance standings. With their 3rd week of negative results, the team falls to the bottom.
This Week’s M-League Stats
That’s all for this week! Can the Akasaka Drivens take their streak to three weeks in a row? Can Team Raiden and the Sega Sammy Phoenix turn it around? Can Murakami get a second win? As always, we’ll just have to wait and see!
