Standings
The top team this week is the U-Next Pirates. With Ishibashi and Asakura being away, Mizuhara and Kobayashi have stepped up their game. With Mizuhara’s 1st and 2nd, she breaks the +400.0 mark and is more than 100 points ahead of the next best player. And though Kobayashi first got a 4th, he became net positive on the week with a 1st. With the +109.3 gain and 2/1/0/1 record, the team goes above +400.0 and holds onto 1st place.
Konami Mahjong Fight Club are 2nd in the performance rankings. It was a Date and Sasaki week this week, with Date being the star. With two 1sts in a row, Date moves up to 2nd overall and goes above +300.0. With a 2/1/0/1 record and +91.6 gain, the team goes back up to above +100.0 and moves into 5th place.
The Sega Sammy Phoenix are in 3rd place. The team was able to win both days they played. On Tuesday, Uotani was able to come back from a 4th to get a big 1st for a +27.3 gain. On Thursday, a 1st by Kayamori helped give the team a +49.3 gain. In total, the team had a 2/0/1/1 record and +76.6 gain. With the gain, the team went into the positives and moves into 6th place.
The last positive team this week is the Shibuya Abemas. It was another week of even results for the team. For Hinata, it marked her 2nd win in her past 4 games. The 1/1/1/1 record and the small +4.9 gain keeps the team stagnant in terms of points, but were able to move to 2nd place overall as a team.
Going into the negatives, the EX Furinkazan take 5th place in the performance rankings. Matsugase had a good 1st and 2nd this week to remain in the top 4 of the individual standings, but losses by Rumi and Katsumata erased some of the team progress. Still, the team’s 1/1/0/2 record and small -25.8 loss helped the team stay in a comfortable 3rd position, a good position to be in as the semifinals approach.
6th is Team Raiden. 8 weeks of negative results. Setokuma continues to struggle. The team goes below -900.0. Though the sea floor is one of the most unexplored ares in the world, I don’t think this is what Team Raiden wanted to explore. With a 0/3/0/1 record and -45.3 drop, The team still sits in 8th place and are sitting 15/17 weeks negative.
In 7th are the Akasaka Drivens. Unfortunately, this isn’t online ladder ranking. The four 3rds made a significant dent on the Drivens’ quest to get positives and make the semifinals. The 0/4/0/0 record and -89.9 loss, they go down to -116.3.
Finally, in last place, we have the Kadokawa Sakura Knights. Some unlucky riichi losses for Uchikawa gave him a big loss and some 3rds from Hori caused them to trip. And though Sawazaki did get a 2nd, it was just a drop of water in the ocean this week. With the 0/1/2/1 record and -121.4 loss, the team dropped down from 2nd to 5th place.
This Week’s M-League Stats
That’s all for this week! There are only 5 weeks left in the regular season! Can the U-Next Pirates make it to +500.0? Can the Akasaka Drivens make the U-turn? Who will make it above the semifinals cutoff? As always, we’ll just have to wait and see!
