M-League 2021-22 Finals: Games #11-12 and the Awards Ceremony

Awards Ceremony

Between the end of the studio broadcast and the start pf the awards ceremony, we were shown a preview of some M-League original documentaries. Each of the 8 documentaries highlight what each team does when they’re not in the studio, from team practices to their personal life. Afterwards, we looked at the highlight of the first few games. Then, the awards ceremony started.

For the first time since the 2018-19 season, the awards ceremony took place in front of a live audience.

At the start of the ceremony, we were introduced to the MC of the night, Nakamura Takaya. Presenting the awards was none other than the M-League founder and chairman, Fujita Susumu.

4th Place Avoidance Award winner: Ooi Takaharu (多井隆晴)

The first award handed out at the ceremony was the 4th Place Avoidance Award. This award is handed out to the player who had the best 4th-place avoidance rate in the regular season. In reverse order, they listed the top three players.

This award is given to the player who has the highest cumulative score at the end of the regular season. With Mizuhara being the season’s MVP, she went on stage and received her medal, which looks like a small version of the M-League championship plate.
