M-League 2021-22 Finals: Games #11-12 and the Awards Ceremony

Final Thoughts

Ozball

Another year, another M-League season over. Time seems to have a habit of moving on even through the most turbulent of times. This has been one of the best seasons so far, especially with new blood being injected into teams. With some highs, lows and laughs (TakiHisa v RumiAki anyone?), it’s been a joy to work to bring M-League content to our foreign readers. Hopefully the next season will be as exciting as this one, with some forced changes coming to some teams, and possibly voluntary changes to others, I look forward to continuing to help bring M-League content to everyone. Personally I hope we see the return of more in-person viewings this year! Here’s to another year of passionate M-League!

Improvement is a continuous process. During the course of the M-League 2021-22 Season, we watched the pros as they taught us (whether consciously or not) how to improve. We watched unbelievable plays that helped us learn mahjong strategy. We watched as players made mistakes, reminding us that even the best can make mistakes and that it’s okay to make them.

For writers, it means proofreading, editing and continuing to write. With every article, I hope that I can continue to improve so you can enjoy M-League more and more.

Writing for this team brings me joy, and I hope my articles bring you joy as well. To everyone who supported me along the way, I thank you. I hope that you continue to support me and read my articles next season!

M-League Watch Team

It’s been almost two years since our first article. When we started writing in May of 2020, very few people knew what M-League was. But as the pandemic continued, more people found mahjong and more people wanted to see it played at its highest. From there, support grew and grew. Not only did we get more and more overseas readers, we also had M-Leaguers and a whole M-League team notice and follow us!

From analysis to satire to GIFs, we created things because we love M-League and we want to share that love with you. We hope that you love it as well.

From all of us at M-League Watch, we would like to congratulate the Kadokawa Sakura Knights for winning the championship! To our readers and followers, we would like to wholeheartedly thank you for your support. We wouldn’t be here without your help.

And that’s a wrap for the M-League 2021-22 Season! It was quite the season, wasn’t it? From from upsets to triumphs to just plain big wins, we saw it all. All of us wish that there was more M-League to watch. But once the 2021-22 Season ends, the 2022-23 preseason begins! What moves will we se? Who will stay and who will go? When will the games begin again? As always, we’ll just have to wait and see! Hope to see you again soon!
