Standings

The top performing team this week sitting at the top of the standings is the Konami Mahjong Fight Club. 100% rentai rate plus a yakuman, this is one of the strongest starts a team could ask for. They finished the week +134.9 with a record of 1/3/0/0. With their +134.9, this marks the best first week for a team since the inaugural M-League season.
Next is the Shibuya Abemas. Hinata’s Ura 3, Ooi’s chiitois and Matsumoto’s chasing riichi. These moments stood out for the team and ended up being difference makers. These plays helped them secure points, move up places and end the week 2/1/1/0 with a gain of +96.4.
The last positive team is the Kadokawa Sakura Knights. The team seems to be carrying the momentum from last season’s championship. Shibukawa’s comeback proves that he fits well into the team’s lineup, while strong results from their veterans make them a team to contend with. They gained +81.0 and went 1/2/1/0 in this week’s action.
Moving into the negatives, Team Raiden is 4th. The team had a lot of struggle this week, but Kurosawa was able to bring some luck on her birthday to win her game and save the team. Though, the score isn’t what they want, a major statistic of improvement is their deal-in rate. Out of the 47 hands the team played, they only dealt in once, giving them a rate of 2.17% and the best rate in the league. This week, they went 1/0/2/1 and -16.1.
The U-Next Pirates is 5th. Yu had a brutal welcome to M-League by getting knocked into the negatives, while Nakabayashi fared a bit better. Kobayashi was able to avoid 4th in a way only Kobayashi can. Mizuhara had an MVP performance, dropping out of 1st only because of a suuankou. With a bit of time, the newest Pirates will start to get comfortable and then we will see their true potential. The team was the only team not to get a 1st, going 0/2/1/1 with a score of -54.4.
In 6th is the Akasaka Drivens. The week was pretty average for the team. though Maruyama ended with a score of -26,000, she only dealt in twice and a lot of the loss was from tsumos. If the team keeps going at the pace they are, the team will slowly but surely climb up. For now, they have -61.8 and a 1/0/2/1 record.
The Sega Sammy Phoenix take 7th spot. They started off strong, but things started to slip away. The two lasts in a row were quite uncharacteristic of the team, as they went 28 games in a row without a 4th last season. Whether this is just an off-week or a continued struggle is yet to be seen. Their 1/0/1/2 record this week ended up giving them a -86.6.
And finally, in 8th place, we have the EX Furinkazan. The Nikaido sisters really struggled this week, with the two of them dealing in 10 times in their 3 games. However, Matsugase’s 1st place kept the team from dropping off too much. The 2020-21 Finals powerhouse Katsumata still has to play, so it will be curious to see where the team places next week. This week, they went 1/0/0/3 and dropped -93.4.
