Standings
For the second week in a row, the EX Furinkazan are the top team in this week’s performance rankings. The team is starting to be more consistent. Matsugase is gaining points for the team and everyone else keeps the team afloat. With just one more good week, the team could move into the positives and move up in the standings. This week, the team gained +53.1 and had a record of 1/2/1/0.
Next in the performance rankings is Team Raiden. Honda is on a roll. After his 1st place last week, he got another one and added a 2nd place to add almost 100 points by himself. This is a refreshing change from his performance in his rookie M-League season. After their 1/1/2/0 record and +48.0 gain this week, the team is just one win away from moving into the positives.
The U-Next Pirates are next in the performance ranking. After some mediocre results in the first three games, it was up to the captain to save the week. Kobayashi was the only member of the team without a 1st place and he delivered. Winning five hands, including two mangans, helped propel his score upward and give him his first win. This week, the U-Next Pirates went 1/1/2/0 with a gain of +34.4
Next is the Konami Mahjong Fight Club. Hisato was strong as always, then the team got 4th two games in a row. The last game was tasked to Takamiya. After a clutch South 4, Takamiya got her first 1st of the season and the team ended up positive. The team went 2/0/0/2 with a gain of +33.4, getting a bit closer to the 1st place Abemas.
The last positive team this week is the Shibuya Abemas. Despite Ooi and Matsumoto getting their first 4ths of the season, Shiratori and Hinata are still going strong with their 1sts. If the team can extend their 5-week positive streak even further, the team could go to +600.0 or +700.0 very soon. This week the team wen 2/0/0/2 with a gain of +13.7.
Going into the negatives, the Akasaka Drivens are 6th in the performance rankings. The good news is that this is the team’s best results so far this season. The bad news is that the team is on their 5th negative week in a row. Though this start is quite disappointing for the team, there’s still around 80% of the season left to play. If they can turn it around, they still have a chance at being at the top of the standings at the start of December. The team’s even 1/1/1/1 record and -26.7 loss put the team below -350.0.
In 7th are the Sega Sammy Phoenix. It was Kayamori and Kondo week this week, providing mixed results. Though Kayamori did okay, Kondo cotinues to struggle, getting another 4th and still searching for his first 1st. This week, the team went -45.6 with a 0/2/1/1 record.
And finally, placing last in the performance rankings, is the Kadokawa Sakura Knights. It was a general struggle for the whole team, with their best results being a small 2nd place gain. Though considering that they dealt in only 3 times between their two 4ths, some of it can be attributed to bad luck. Despite their 0/1/1/2 record and -110.3 this week, the team still sit in 3rd place.
