Standings
The top team this week is Team Raiden. The absolute dominance of Kurosawa and the new records that she made was the only thing people were talking about. However, the huge +133.7 win by Kurosawa should not overshadow Honda’s efforts. Even when he lost badly in the first game, he kept going. With some strong plays, he was able to take 1st place in the next game. This week the team went 2/0/1/1 and gained +100.9, moving from 5th to 3rd.
In 2nd is the Sega Sammy Phoenix. The team avoid 4th place all this week, putting them 7 games without a 4th. Heading the charge is Tojo, who got a haneman and a mangan to win her game. With a +34.0 gain and 1/1/2/0 record, the team inches closer to the positives and rest of the pack.
The Shibuya Abemas take 3rd in the performance rankings. For the 6th week in a row, the Abemas are gaining points. The team has 3 members in the top 5, with Shiratori’s win this week making him the team’s top player. With their +33.9 performance and 1/1/2/0 record this week gets them closer to ending a week above +500.0.
4th are the EX Furinkazan. For the 4th week in a row, the EX Furinkazan made gains. After being below -200.0 at the end of game 23 of the season, the EX Furinkazan worked to get points and are now in the positives. Katsumata’s +81.2 at the start of the week was the game that pushed them over and was the team’s highlight of the week. This week, they had an even 1/1/1/1 and a gain of +26.3.
Next are the Akasaka Drivens. After 5 weeks of losses, the Akasaka Drivens finally have a positive week! Both Murakami and Taro had 2nds, with Taro almost winning his game until Kurosawa’s South 4. To end of the week, Sonoda was able to win his game for his third win this season. This week, they went 1/2/0/1 and gained +6.4, their best result so far this season.
The last positive team this week is the U-Next Pirates, They faced Kurosawa’s wrath and Shibukawa’s comeback and they minimized their losses. Mizuhara then took the baton and had a very impressive +93.8 game. With their 1/1/1/1 record and +3.2 gain this week, the Pirates have gone 4 straight weeks with gains.
Going into the negatives, the Konami Mahjong Fight Club is 7th in the performance rankings. They tried but they weren’t able to beat the dominant players. Even with upper 20,000 and 30,000 scpres, they could match the 50,000 score of the other players. Fortunately for the team, they are still in 2nd place in the standings despite their 0/2/1/1 record and -74.5 loss this week.
And finally, placing last in the performance rankings, we have the Kadokawa Sakura Knights. The good news is that Shibukawa finally has his first 1st in M-League! The bad news is that he also has the worst loss in M-League history. Add onto that two more losses for the team and it equals a very bad week. With their 1/0/0/3 record and a loss of -130.2, the team drops into the negatives, and all the way to 6th place.
This Week’s M-League Stats
And that’s all for this week! Can Team Raiden make it two weeks in a row? Can the Kadokawa Sakura Knights climb hteir way out? Can anybody beat Kurosawa’s new record? As always, we’ll just have to wait and see!
