Standings
The EX Furinkazan, Konami Mahjong Fight Club, Shibuya Abemas and Kadokawa Sakura Knights all had big gains this week ranging from +109.3 to +86.2. Both the EX Furinkazan and Shibuya Abemas had two wins this week (both on the same day for the Abemas) while the Konami Mahjong Fight Club and Kadokawa Sakura Knights only had 1sts and 2nds. Besides the Fight Club who just extended their lead further, all the teams jumped up 3 ranks in just seven days.
Coming in with small losses are the Beast Japanext (-20.7pts drop) and Team Raiden (-22.7pts drop). Both these teams has a 1st place win, but each of them also had a 4th place and two 3rds. Team Raiden managed to stay in 4th place in the standings this week, but the close standings at the bottom meant that the Beast Japanext would fall into 9th.
The Sega Sammy Phoenix (-71.6pts drop) had a medium loss this week. The team only played two games this week, either preventing them from further losses or from recovering (depending on your point of view). Even with the disappointing result, Kayamori’s performace of escaping 4th place still impressed the fans. The Phoenix’s loss this week drops them down to 8th place overall.
And finally, the Akasaka Drivens (-128.7pts drop) and U-Next Pirates (-149.6pts drop) both had sizeable drops this week. Both teams had 0/1/1/2 record this week, with a very unlucky game for Mizuhara giving her the 4th-lowest 4th place of all time. The large cushion that the Pirates built up over the past few weeks meant they only fell to 3rd place. The Akasaka Drivens, on the other hand, fell four ranks from 3rd to 7th, from the top third to the bottom third.
And that’s all for this week! It’s hard to believe that October is almost over. Which team will be the one to challenge the Konami Mahjong Fight Club? Can our big droppers return to their winning ways? What spooky M-League events are in store for us? As always, we’ll just have to wait and see!
