The top-earning team this week is the EX Furinkazan. Both Aki and Katsumata were able to get 1sts this week, with Aki also adding a 2nd place on Friday. The results got Aki into the positives for her individual score and Katsumata into the top 10. With the +109.9pts gain this week, the EX Furinkazan moves into 4th place.
The Akasaka Drivens are next in the performance rankings. It was a pretty good week for the team, avoiding 4th place and getting their largest single week gain with +89.4pts. Props go to Futoshi for getting his second win of the season and getting a NAGA score in the low to mid 90s in both games this week. The team is now just a win away from moving into the positives.
The Shibuya Abemas, Konami Mahjong Fight Club, Kadokawa Sakura Knights and Team Raiden all had small gains this week, ranging from +24.9pts to +2.9pts. Matsumoto makes the top 3 in the higest scores list this season, the Konami Mahjong Fight Club avoided 4th all week, the Hori alone made the Kadokawa Sakura Knights the top team of the day on Tuesday and Hagiwara managed to get the rare ryanpeikou.
Coming in slightly negative are the Sega Sammy Phoenix. It was an interesting set of events for the Phoenix this week. Kayamori ended Monday with the her first 1st place of the season. On Friday, Uotani manages to avoid 4th place (and maintain her streak) by tying for 3rd place. The team ends with a 1/1/2/0 record and going -9.2pts this week. Though it’s not the positive result they wanted, they are getting close to moving up a rank.
Coming in the penultimate place of the performance rankings are the U-Next Pirates. Though Mizuhara had a good result with a 1st place to move in the top 10 of the individual rankings, the guys didn’t have such a good week. Nakabayashi had a negative 3rd place, Kobayashi gets another 4th and Yu got a 3rd for a team week total of -66.7pts. The team out of 1st, but they are still in a good position in 2nd place.
And finally, coming in last in the performance rankings, we have the Beast Japanext. It was a rough week for the Beast, having three 4ths and a 3rd and losing -192.6pts. With this week’s results, the Beast now have -405.4pts and are 59.2pts away from 9th place. On the bright side, Nakada still maintains her 4th-place avoidance streak, being the only player to do so.
That’s all for this week! We are already a third of the way through the regular season! How will the next third of the season go? Will we see another tie? Which M-Leaguers will jump on the Suika Game bandwagon? As always, we’ll just have to wait and see!
