M-League 2024-25 Week 3: Feed

Standings

The top performing team this week is the Beast X. It was the Beast’s best week in a while. Nakada had her first 1st since January 29 (her second 1st in her M-League career), followed by a 1st by Daisuke to give the Beast their first daily double since January 12. Avoiding 4th on Thursday, their +122.7pts gain this weak helped them climb all the way from 9th to 4th in the standings.

Also going positive this week are the Sega Sammy Phoenix, U-Next Pirates, Konami Mahjong Fight Club and Kadokawa Sakura Knights. Wins by Kayamori and Daigo helped the team extend their lead at the top and pushed just above the +200.0pts mark. With the win by Mizuhara, the U-Next Pirates were the first team to have all four players get a 1st. With the boys avoiding 4th the rest of the week, the Pirates break the +100.0pts mark. Avoiding 4th place as well, the Konami Mahjong Fight Club maintains their positive position in 2nd place. For the Kadokawa Sakura Knights, their positive performance over two games lifted the team up two spots to 5th place.

Team Raiden, Shibuya Abemas and Akasaka Drivens all had a negative week. Team Raiden had two 2nds and two 3rds this week to push them down to 6th place. Matsumoto played the Shibuya Abemas’ only two games this week, but his 4th and 2nd ended up dropping the team into 9th place. The Akasaka Drivens went three straight games in 4th place, but Futoshi was able to come through in the final game of the week and stopped the team’s fall.

Finally, we have the EX Furinkazan. The team was unable to gain any points in any of their games this week. Even when they were so close to 1st place in Katsumata’s game on Friday, they just couldn’t get the final hand and ended up falling into 3rd. With a record of 0/0/2/2 and a drop of -130.1pts, the team falls down to 8th place.

And that’s all for this week! September may be done, but we six full months of regular season action ahead of us! Can the Beast keep roaring ahead? Can the EX Furinkazan battle back? As always, we’ll just have to wait and see!
