In E1-0, Setokuma is playing for Team Raiden and looking to get his team back into the positives.

Setokuma starts out with pairs of 8p, west and green dragon, making her 3-shanten for seven pairs and 5-shanten from a standard hand. Within the first few turns, Setokuma calls pon on the green dragon, aiming for a standard hand. Right after, Kobayashi calls pon on the 6m dora, adding some danger to the table. Throught he rest of the first row, Setokuma also adds a red dragon pair and shifts towards a pinzu honitsu. By the end of the row, he gets to 2-shanten.

At the start of the second row, Kobayashi is the first to tenpai and gets to tenpai on a 6s kanchan.

Right after, Setokuma makes a triplet of 8p and gets to iishanten. He breaks the west pair to be able to keep a safe iishanten.

As he waits, Asami builds as well. At the end of the second row, Asami calls a 234s chii and gets to tenpai on a 4p kanchan.

On Setokuma’s turn, he draws a third red dragon and gets to tenpai on a 36p ryanmen, guaranteed at least a mangan. Immediately after, Kobayashi draws and discards the 3p and wins the hand. Setokuma wins with Honitsu/Green Dragon/Red Dragon for 8,000.

Jumping to E4-1, Setokuma is still in 1st place and looking to increase his 16,000 lead.

Setokuma starts out the hand at 4-shanten with an 8m dora pair. In the first row, he draws a red 5m to create a ryanmen and calls pon on the 2s, confirming his pursuit of tanyao. By the end of the first row, Setokuma is 2-shanten and guaranteed a good wait.

In the second row, Setokuma completes a 234p sequence for iishanten. At the start of the third row, he completes a 678s sequence and gets to tenpai on a 47m ryanmen. In the middle of the row, Asami discards the 4m trying to call riichi and deals into Setokuma. Setokuma wins the hand with Tanyao/Dora 2/Aka 1 for 8,000.

On Setokuma’s turn, he makes his 8p a triplet, increasing his acceptance from 3 different tiles to 8. In the middle of the row, Kobayashi gets to tenpai and calls riichi on a 3p penchan.

Within the ippatsu round, Setokuma gets to tenpai, discards the dora 1p and calls riichi on a 36p ryanmen. If either Genta or Asami discards the 3p, Setokuma would win on headbump.
