Standings
The top gainer this week is the Beast X. After a big drop last week, the team returned to their winning ways. Half of the teams games were 1sts, with Nakada Kana winning two of them and is now 1st place in the 4th place avoidance individual standings. The team has been the the top performer for three of the past four weeks.
Team Raiden and Sega Sammy Phoenix also got triple-digit gains. With a 2/1/1/0 record this week, Team Raiden’s gains break their 3-week dropping streak and pushed them up to 5th place in the standings. The Sega Sammy Phoenix Continue to make big gains with two 1sts as well, pushing them out of 10th place and up to 8th.
Konami Mahjong Fight Club, U-Next Pirates and Akasaka Drivens had smaller gains. The Konami Mahjong Fight Club were able to avoid 4th place in all six of their games, making enough gains to move into 1st place overall in the standings. The U-Next Pirates had two 1sts and two 2nds to start out the week (including a 79,100 for Nakabayashi), but a double 4th on Friday lessened that gain. And the Akasaka Drivens has a 1/1/2/0 record and moved up to 4th place overall.
Kadokawa Sakura Knights, Earth Jets and EX Furinkazan had losses this week. Okada started the week off with a 57,700 1st place, but the men on the Kadokawa Sakura Knights roster all ended up getting 4th place to drop the team down from 7th to 9th. The Earth Jets had two 4ths to push them back down to 10th place. And for the EX Furinkazan, losses in three of their four games caused them to lose their spot at the top of the standings.
FInally, we have the Shibuya Abemas. In all six of their games, they lost points. Three 3rds and three 4ths, including a -30,900 result by Hinata to start off the week. A team that started the week in the positives, the Shibuya Abemas drastically dropped from 3rd place down to 7th place. They will need a big reversal to return to the positives.
And that’s all for this week! Can the EX Furinkazan take back their spot at the top, or will the Konami Mahjong Fight Club hold onto it? Can the Shibuya Abemas recover from their big drop? Will we have more baiman comebacks? As always, we’ll just have to wait and see!
