In E1-2, Asami is in 1st place with a 5,800 lead over the 2nd place tie.
Asami starts off drawing a second dora 5m to get to 3-shanten. From her 556m shape, she extends it with a 7m and an 8m. By turn 5, she is tenpai and calls riichi on a 3p penchan. In the middle the second row, Matsumoto discards the 3p trying to take tenpai and deals into Asami. With the 5m also being the uradora, Asami wins with Riichi/Dora 2/Ura 2 for 12,000+600.

In E1-3, Asami starts out slightly worse with at 4-shanten, having a penchan and a kanchan. On turn 2, she fills in the kanchan with a red 5p. On her next turn, she makes a 14s ryanmen. After making a 4m pair, she gets to iishanten.
In the second row, she shifts the penchan shape to a kanchan shape. In the middle of the row, she fills it in and calls riichi on a 14s ryanmen. During the ippatsu round, Uchikawa discards the 4s and deals in. With an uradora hit, Asami wins with Riichi/Ippatsu/Pinfu/Aka 1/Ura 1 for 12,000+900, pushing her up to 55,300.
Uchikawa Up

In S1-3, Uchikawa is in 4th place, 5,000 behind 3rd place Matsumoto and 16,000 behind 2nd place Genta.
Uchikawa starts off with pairs of east, 2m and 9p, putting him 3-shanten for seven pairs. For value, there is a single red 5m. In the first row, he adds a 6m and 4p pair to the list, putting him iishanten.
In the middle of the second row, Uchikawa finally pairs up the 5m nd calls riichi on a 9m tanki.

Looking at Matsumoto’s hand, he has a pair of 2s and a red 5s, On his next draw, he draws a fourth 7p and calls a concealed kan. With the flip, his 7p suddenly becomes the new dora! For a huge bonus, he draws another 2s to up his total dora count to 8 and get him to tenpai. Staying dama, Matsumoto waits on a 25m ryanmen, guaranteed a sanbaiman if he wins.

It’s a 1 vs. 1 battle between the two bottom players. In the third row, Matsumoto draws a fourth 2p and calls another concealed kan, but the east kandora and the rinshan don’t help. The kandora doees, however, boost Uchikawa up to a haneman minimum. On Uchikawa’s turn, he draws that final 9m and wins the hand. Though he doesn’t hit any uradora, Uchikawa wins with Riichi/Tsumo/Chiitoi/Dora 2/Aka 1 for 3,000+300/6,000+300, moving Uchikawa up to 2nd place.
Genta

December 9, Game 1, S3-0
In S3-0, Genta is the dealer in 3rd place and is 200 behind 2nd place Uchikawa.
Genta starts off with a nice 3-shanten hand with three ryanmens and a connected red 5s double dora. In the first row, he is only able to fill in one of them.
Looking around the table, everyone else is iishanten. At the start of the second row, Asami is the first to tenpai and waits dama on a 3m tanki.

Right after, Uchikawa calls riichi on a north/9p shanpon.

After getting to iishanten the previous turn, Genta gets to tenpai and calls riichi on a 36s ryanmen.

And joining the rest of the players, Matsumoto gets to tenpai and calls riichi on a 7s kanchan.

With a bad wait and a big lead, Asami just decides to fold. In the middle of the second row, Uchikawa draws and discards the 3s and deals into Genta. Genta wins the hand with Riichi/Pinfu/Dora 1/Aka 1 for 12,000 plus two riichi sticks.

In E1-0, Ooi starts off at 3-shanten with an east triplet, a red dragon pair, a floating dora 3p and a floating red 5s. At the end of the first row, Ooi secures the 3p by creating a 345p sequence and getting to iishanten. On turn 8, he pairs up the 5s to secure the other dora.
To his right, Nagai is iishanten with a red 5p and a tanyao secured. With a 6s pon, Nagai gets to tenpai on a 3m kanchan.

On Ooi’s turn, he gets to tenpai and calls riichi on a red dragon/5s shanpon. On his next turn, he draws the red dragon and wins the hand. With the 3p also being the uradora, Ooi wins with Riichi/Ippatsu/Tsumo/East/Red Dragon/Dora 1/Aka 1/Ura 1 for 4,000/8,000.

In E4-1, Sonoda is in 3rd place, 4,300 behind 2nd place dealer Nagai and 21,300 behind 1st place Ooi.
Sonoda starts off the hand at 3-shanten and is a 3s away from a possible iipeikou. Within the first 5 turns, Sonoda gets himself to iishanten and guarantees himself tanyao. In the second row, he draws a 3s to shift one of his sequences to complete the potential 234s iipeikou. At the end of the row, Sonoda gets to tenpai and calls riichi on a 25s ryanmen, wanting the 5s for iipeikou.
On his very next turn, Sonoda draws the top tile, the red 5s, and wins the hand. With an uradora hit, Sonoda wins with Riichi/Ippatsu/Tsumo/Pinfu/Tanyao/Iipeikou/Aka 1/Ura 1 for a surprise 4,000+100/8,000+100 plus a riichi stick, putting him just 100 from 1st place.
Ooi Over

In S3-1, Ooi is the dealer in 2nd place and is 3,500 behind 1st place Sonoda.
Ooi starts out the hand at 2-shanten with sequences shapes in hand. On turn 4, Ooi makes his 4p pair into a triplet and has a chance to get to tenpai. However, he rejects the bad 3m wait to go for something better. It takes a few turns, but he draws the red 5m in the middle of the second row and calls riichi on a 69m ryanmen. At the end of the row, Ooi draws a 9m and wins the hand. Ooi wins with Riichi/Tsumo/Dora 1/Aka 1 for 4,000+100 all, moving into 1st place.
