The top team this week is the Beast X. It was quite the week for the Beast, getting four 1sts in six games. Two of those 1sts were by Tojo, while two of them were by Shimoishi in a double duty daily double on Friday. With their big +193.1pts gain this week, the Beast goes up to +284.5pts, the highest the team has ever been.
Akasaka Drivens, Kadokawa Sakura Knights and Shibuya Abemas all made gains as well. Being the best performers on Tuesday and adding another 1st place on Thursday, the team moves back into the positives. The Kadokawa Sakura Knights may still be in 10th place, but a positive performance on Thursday helped move them up just a bit. The Shibuya Abemas had a 1st place by Ooi and 2nds by Shiratori and Hinata to move the team up from 8th place all the way up to 5th.
Team Raiden, Earth Jets, Konami Mahjong Fight Club, U-Next Pirates and Sega Sammy Phoenix all dropped a bit. Though Kurosawa started the team’s week off well with a 1st place, the guys ended up losing points and they ended up going down a rank to 8th place. The Earth Jets had a 2nd and 3rd filled week and leaving them down in 9th place. The Konami Fight Club struggled with two 4ths and two 3rds to start the week, but a 2nd and 1st on Friday helped to soften the blow. The U-Next Pirates were the opposite, being the best performers on Monday, but bled with three 4ths and a 3rd to end the week. And the Sega Sammy Phoenix were unable to get 1st place in any of their four games, moving them down from 5th to 7th.
Finally, we have the EX Furinkazan. On Tuesday, a big 3rd place and a negative 4th place created a hole in the team’s score and they couldn’t recover. The team still remains in 1st place overall, but their lead has shrunk to just 35.2pts. They will have to brush this week off to maintain their spot at the top.
And that’s all for this week! We are officially past the halfway point of the regular season! In just over three months, we will have our six semifinalists? Who will they be? What action awaits us in the second half? Will we see Takaki back on the M-League stage soon? As always, we’ll just have to wait and see!
