The top gainer this week is the Sega Sammy Phoenix. Avoiding 4th place this week, the highlight came to them on Christmas, getting a double 1st. With their gains, the team rises to the podium, getting to 3rd place.
The Earth Jets, Team Raiden and Konami Mahjong Fight Club made gains as well. Both Aikawa and Kazuma had 50,000+ 1sts to put them within 2.4pts of 9th place. Team Raiden avoided 4th in their six games and were the top performers on their table to end the season. The Konami Mahjong Fight Club had only a small gain of +14.2pts after a 1/2/0/1 record, but a gain is a gain.
The Shibuya Abemas, Akasaka Drivens, EX Furinkazan, Kadokawa Sakura Knights and the U-Next Pirates had losses this week. Though the Abemas had three 2nds, it wasn’t enough to overcome the losses from Ooi’s 3rd place tie. Though Taro had his first 1st of the season on the 26th, the team’s 3rds and 4ths pushed them further away from the positives. Th EX Furinkazan had a 1/0/2/1 record to make their hold on 1st place shrink. The Kadokawa Sakura Knights had quite a volatile result with a double 1st and a double 4th, but the additional 3rd and 4th means that they’re net negative. And the U-Next Pirates were doing okay until a double 4th ended off their 2025.
Finally, the Beast X is the worst performer for the second week in a row. A 2nd place and three 3rds caused them to drop from 3rd to 4th. Not the way they would like to end the season, but thee is still a chance to do better in 2026.
And that’s all for 2025. As one year ends, another year of M-League begins! What does 2026 have in store for us? As always, we’ll just have to wait and see!
