Standings

The top-gaining team this week is the Akasaka Drivens. Every single game was a gaining game. On Tuesday, it was a daily double with Taro and Futoshi. On Thursday, Asami got a 2nd place and Sonoda got a 1st place. With their combined efforts, they moved from being about 200.0pts from a playoff spot to just 3.1pts away.

The Konami Mahjong FIght Club, Beast X and Team Raiden all made gains this week as well. The highlight for the Mahjong Fight Club was the daily double by the TakiHisa combo on Friday, pushing the team to +464.1pts. The 3rd place Beast X got most of their points from a 58,000 1st place by Shimoishi, getting a bit extra from two 2nds. Team Raiden also had a daily double on Friday, but it only did enough to balance out the double 4th on Thursday.

The Shibuya Abemas, Kadokawa Sakura Knights, Earth Jets, Sega Sammy Phoenix and U-Next Pirates all dropped. The Abemas were the top gainers on Monday, but it was only a 12.5pts gain, and though they gained some more points on Thursday, two losing games on Friday pushed them down a bit. The Kadokawa Sakura Knights had the definite highlight of Hori getting the yakuman, but it only gave him a 2nd place, leaving the team without a 1st place this week. The Earth Jets had three days this week and they got a 3rd place then a 2nd place on all three of them. The Sega Sammy Phoenix started with a 1st place on Thursday, but two 4ths and a 3rd in their remaining games gave them losses. And the U-Next Pirates continue to fall further and further as Yu got two 4ths this week

Finally, we have the EX Furinkazan. The team at the top had a big fall, with a lot of it being from Katsumata’s yakuman deal-in. They lost points five games in a row, pushing them back below +1000.0pts.
