In S3-0, Mizuhara is in 3rd place, 22,500 behind 2nd place Shibukawa.

Mizuhara starts off filling in a 3s penchan to get to iishanten. On turn 2, though, she breaks her 6s pair gambling for the possibility of a manzu straight or a 123p sanshoku with the lone 3p. On her next turn, she gets the 1p, guaranteeing a sanshoku. At the end of the row, Mizuhara gets the 2p and calls riichi on a 7m kanchan. Within two turns, her two 7m left in the wall is cut down to just one. As the second row becomes the thrd row, it seems like she will have to accept the 3,000 in bonus payments. But, on the very last tile, she gets that last 7m and wins the hand! Mizuhara wins with Riichi/Tsumo/Haitei/Sanshoku for 2,000/4,000.

In E2-1, Yu is the dealer in 2nd place, 1,200 behind 1st place Hori.

With Yu’s very first draw, he gets himself to iishanten and holds a secured 6m dora. By turn 4, Yu is tenpai and calls riichi on a 58m ryanmen, guaranteed at least 3 han.

To his right, Hori is 2-shanten and aiming for a souzu honitsu. With Yu’s 3s riichi discard, Hori calls chii and get to iishanten. At the end of the first row, Hori calls pon on the east and gets to tenpai on a 69s ryanmen. At the end of the second row, he changes to a red dragon/7s shanpon.

Like Mizuhara in the previous game, Yu gets the haitei, drawing the 8m and winning the hand. Hitting two uradora, Yu wins the hand with Riichi/Tsumo/Pinfu/Dora 1/Ura 2 for 6,000+100 all.
