Standings
The top team this week is the Akasaka Drivens. They played on three days and got a 1st place on each of them, two of them above 50,000. With the other three games avoiding 4th place, the team has risen up well in the rankings, putting them in 5th place and in the positives for the first time since mid-December.
Also gaining points are the Konami Mahjong Fight Club, Earth Jets, Kadokawa Sakura Knights, Sega Sammy Phoenix and U-Next Pirates. Date’s solid 54,900 helped push the Konami Mahjong Fight Club to be the best at their table on Thursday, even with Takizawa’s 4th place. The Earth Jets has Miura getting an incredible 70,900 1st place, the highest-scoring game this week. The Kadokawa Sakura Knights had a slow and steady gain with three 2nds and a 3rd. The Phoenix were also 4th-avoidant this week, with the team being the best on the other table on Thursday. And the U-Next Pirates had an even 1/1/1/1 week, but Yu’s 48,600 1st place was enough to keep them net positive.
The EX Furinkazan, Shibuya Abemas and Beast X lost points. The EX Furinkazan started out with a -12,400 4th place by Katsumata and couldn’t recover, even with a 2nd and 1st. The Shibuya Abemas left the week with two 2nds and four 3rds, moving them further away from a playoff spot. And the Beast X had a 4th place on all three days that they played, pushing them down by almost 100.0pts.
Finally, we have Team Raiden. Three 4ths in a row this week. At one point, they had six 4ths in their past seven games. At that point, the team was out of a playoff spot. But, a little bit was recovered on Friday when Honda posted a 47,800 1st place. The result was enough to push them back up to the playoff spot.

There may only be five weeks left, but everyone still has a chance to make the playoffs? Can the bottom teams rise up? Can the EX Furinkazan keep their lead? As always, we’ll just have to wait and see!
