Standings
The top-performing team this week is the Beast X. They may have only played two games, but they really made the most of it. With Tojo and Nakada both getting 1sts, it was the big gain for the 3rd-place team, cutting their deficit on 2nd place by almost 100.0pts.
The EX Furinkazan, Akasaka Drivens, Konami Mahjong Fight Club, Sega Sammy Phoenix and Team Raiden made gains as well. The EX Furinkazan started off Friday with a big 3rd place, but Aki’s 46,000 1st place in the second game helped them increase their lead over the 2nd place Konami Mahjong Fight Club. The Akasaka Drivens got two 2nds on Friday, including a close 45,300 2nd by Futoshi. The Konami Mahjong Fight Club made a lot of progress on Monday with a daily double by Takizawa and Takamiya, but the team ended up getting a double 4th, reducing their gain on the week. The Sega Sammy Phoenix avoided 4th place in all four of their games, including a 1st place by Genta. And Team Raiden had an even record, but Setokuma’s 51,500 1st place did well to make them positive.
The Shibuya Abemas, Earth Jets and Kadokawa Sakura Knights fell. A 2nd and 4th place caused the team to lose ground on a playoff spot. The Earth Jets had Kazuma redeming himself with a 1st after a 4th, but a 3rd and 4th on Thursday kept them down. And the Kadoawa Sakura Knights played four games and couldn’t get a 1st place in a single one.
Finally, we have the U-Next Pirates. Already at the bottom of the standings, the team dropped after a 0/1/2/1 record, widening their gap below the 9th place team.
And that’s all for this week and for February! The final month of the regular season is next! Which six teams will come out on top? As always, we’ll just have to wait and see!
