The top gainer this week is the Beast X. They gained points in all four games that they played. On Thursday, Shimoishi played both games and had a 2nd and a 1st, making him the best performer of the day. With the gains, they are now in contention for the top 2.
The Konami Mahjong Fight Club, U-Next Pirates, EX Furinkazan and Shibuya Abemas also had gains. They only played on Monday, but the Konami Mahjong Fight Club had a daily double from Date and Takamiya to inch them closer to 1st overall. The U-Next Pirates escape 10th place after a 54,000 win by Mizuhara followed by a 2nd by Nakabayashi, pushing them more than 100.0pts above 10th. The EX Furinkazan had Uchikawa playing three games, getting a 1st, 2nd and a 3rd, pushing them above +900.0pts. And the Shibuya Abemas had a 2nd and a 1st from Shiratori to put them back into 6th place and a playoff spot.
The Earth Jets, Kadokawa Sakura Knights, Sega Sammy Phoenix and Akasaka Drivens dropped this week. On Friday, the Earth Jets had their most painful loss with Miura getting -30,200, but that loss was reduced by a strong 53,400 win by Kazuma. The Kadokawa Sakura Knights had a 3rd and a 4th on Tuesday moving them down to 10th place. The Sega Sammy Phoenix had three 3rds and a 4th, losing points in all their games. And the Akasaka Drivens had a 0/1/1/2 record and drops into the negatives.
Finally, we have Team Raiden. They started the week at 6th place, but then they started dropping. They had a 0/1/1/2 record as well, but the -23,000 4th place by Hagiwara to end the week was what dropped them out of a playoff spot and into 7th place.
And that’s all for this week! The countdown to the end of the regular season is almost complete? Only three more weeks left to go.
