- July 17, 2018: M-League is announced with the Sega Sammy Phoenix (owned by Sega Sammy Holdings) as one of the seven inaugural teams
- August 7, 2018: In the 2018 M-League Draft, the Sega Sammy Phoenix draft Uotani Yuumi (魚谷侑未) [JPML] as their 1st pick, Kondo Seiichi (近藤誠一) [Saikouisen] as their 2nd pick and Kayamori Sayaka (茅森早香) [Saikouisen] as their 3rd pick.
