In E1-0, Aki is the starting dealer and starts the game at 2-shanten. Within the first three turns, she gets to iishanten.

While Aki waits for her tenpai, Takizawa wants to speed things up. Having already called a 345m sequence, Takizawa is already iishanten. Before the row is done, Takizawa gets to tenpai and waits on a 4s kanchan, guaranteed a mangan.

Aki continues to wait an annoyingly keeps missing. Finally, towards the end of the second row, Aki finally gets to tenpai by drawing a red 5s and calls riichi on a 69p ryanmen. To try and lay a trap, Takizawa discards the 5s and switches to a 2s kanchan.

In the middle of the third row, Aki draws the 9p and wins the hand. With her two 3s becoming uradora, Aki wins the hand with Riichi/Pinfu/Aka 2/Ura 1 for 12,000.

In E1-1, Daisuke is in a three-way tie for 2nd place after Aki won a dealer mangan tsumo.

Daisuke starts out the hand at 4-shanten for a standard hand, 3-shanten for seven pairs. With a pair of wests in hand, he has a yakuhai option. In the first row, he adds a red dragon pair to the mix.

At the start of the second row, Takizawa is the first to tenpai, but chooses to stay dama with his 36p ryanmen.

In the second row, Daisuke makes a 2p triplet and calls pon on the 1s, getting to iishanten. After making a 7p pair and calling pon on the red dragon, Daisuke gets to tenpai on a 7p/west shanpon.

With no value visible to Takizawa, he has to be careful not to deal into an expensive hand. In the third row, Takizawa chooses to fold.

A few turns after getting to tenpai, Daisuke draws a fourth red dragon and calls an added kan. With the flip, his 7p pair becomes the new dora. Soon after, Aki calls a concealed kan of the 3s dora. As she calls that dora kan, she makes Daisuke’s red dragon into the dora kan as well. Daisuke now has 9 han guaranteed.

On Aki’s last turn, she draws and discards the west, dealing into Daisuke. Daisuke wins the hand with Toitoi/Red Dragon/West/Dora 6 for a cool 16,000+300. With the direct hit, it’s enough for 1st place.

In E3-0, Daisuke is now the dealer and has a 15,900 lead over 2nd place Aki.

Daisuke starts out at 3-shanten with four ryanmens, guaranteeing him a good wait and pinfu. By the end of the first row, Daisuke gets himself to iishanten. On turn 11, he discards the guaranteed pinfu for a wider tile acceptance. Luckily, Daisuke pairs up the 7m in the third row to get pinfu and calls riichi on a 36p ryanmen. On his next turn, he draws the 6p and wins the hand. Daisuke wins with Riichi/Ippatsu/Tsumo/Pinfu/Tanyao for 4,000 all.

Setokuma starts out the hand at 3-shanten, but lacks value. In the first row, Setokuma fills in a 567p sequence and creates two good waits as he gets to 2-shanten. On turn 11, Setokuma creates a 4m triplet and gets to a perfect iishanten. A turn later, he makes a 3s triplet and calls riichi on a 69s ryanmen. In the third row, Setokuma draws the 6s and wins the hand. With the uradora flip, the blessed 3s becomes the new dora and upgrades his riichi only hand to a mangan. Setokuma wins with Riichi/Tsumo/Ura 3 for 4,000 all, moving up to 3rd.
