In E4-2, Tojo is in 3rd place, 1,900 behind 2nd place Uchikawa and 6,400 behind 1st place dealer Kurosawa.

Tojo starts out the hand at 4-shanten for a standard hand, 3-shanten for seven pairs. The hand lacks value, but there are paths to pinfu and iipeikou. Within the first three turns, she makes a 3p penchan and fills it in, getting to 2-shanten. On turn 4, she gets herself to a perfect iishanten, though she wants to get the 5s to get both pinfu and a 345s iipeikou secured. At the end of the row, she gets the 5s and calls riichi on a 47m ryanmen.

In the middle of the second row, Tojo draws the 4m and wins the hand. With the two 3s in her hand becoming uradora, Tojo wins with Riichi/Tsumo/Pinfu/Iipeikou/Ura 2 for a surprising 3,000+200/6,000+200, moving into 1st.

In S2-0, Uchikawa is the dealer in 3rd place, 11,900 behind 2nd place Tojo and 12,500 behind 1st place Kurosawa.

After a short interruption to correct the scores of the previous hand, Uchikawa starts off already iishanten, needing to fill in a 5m kanchan and a 5s kanchan. On turn 3, he converts the manzu shape to a ryanmen. A turn later, he fills in the souzu shape with a red 5s and calls riichi on a 25m ryanmen.

Through the rest of the first row and into the second, both Kurosawa and Tojo are able to get themselves into iishanten. However, as more and more tiles become dangerous, Tojo is forced to fold as well. When all semed lost for Uchikawa, he manages to get the 5m on his second-last draw and wins the hand. Uchikawa wins with Riichi/Tsumo/Pinfu/Aka 2 for 4,000 all, taking the lead.

Final Scores

Standings

Thanks to Uchikawa’s performance in the second half of the game, the EX Furinkazan takes the win and cuts the Konami Mahjong Fight Club’s lead to 6.2pts (also as a result of Date’s loss). The Beast X’s lead technicaly increases, but they now have two challengers to contend with. And Kurosawa’s ability to stay 100 above Tojo gives Kurosawa’s team a small gain.
