The top team for the first week of M-League 2026-27 is the Sega Sammy Phoenix. The big winner is Kayamori with her huge comeback, going from -500 to 1st place. Finishing the game with 49,700, it’s also the largest win of the week. Adding on Daigo’s 33,200 earlier in the day, they top the standings.

The Earth Jets, Kadokawa Sakura Knights, Team Raiden, U-Next Pirates and EX Furinkazan also start off the season in the positives. Both the Kadokawa Sakura Knights and the Earth Jets won two of their four games this week, with the Earth Jets being the best team on Thursday and the Sakura Knights being the best team on Friday. Team Raiden didn’t win any of the days, but they did get two 1sts as well. The U-Next PIrates were the winner on Monday, with Asakura making his M-League re-debut and winning his first game, with the rest of the team avoiding 4th. And the EX Furinkazan went 3rd/2nd on Tuesday with Uchikawa’s 46,300 2nd place pushing the team above the water.

The Shibuya Abemas, Beast X and Akasaka Drives start the season in the negatives. The SHibuya Abemas had a 3rd/2nd day as well, but Matsumoto’s 27,400 2nd wasn’t enough to displace Hinata’s 20,500 3rd. The Beast X were left with a double 3rd place, though both Tojo and Daisuke were able to finish the game above their starting 25,000. And the Akasaka Drivens were left with two 4ths and unable to get a 1st place, leaving them with -109.7pts.

And starting the season at the bottom of the rankings is the Konami Mahjong Fight Club. Four games with three of them being 4ths. Not the way you want to start the season. The largest surprise is last year’s MVP candidate Hisato, who lost on both of his games. Still there is still plenty of time in the season, with 116 games left for the team to recover.
